The SIJO Airyweight Sheet is crafted from 100% Tencel lyocell derived from eucalyptus, organically grown in Austria and sourced from forests certified by Tencel and the Forest Stewardship Council and PEFC. Lyocell provides exceptional temperature regulation and moisture-wicking properties, absorbing 70% more moisture than cotton in a controlled manner and then quickly releasing it to provide the perfect dry sleeping environment. This allows for better sleep and a refreshed, energized start to each day.
Adhering to much stricter standards and using very few chemicals compared to cotton and many other fibers, the Sijo Airyweight sheets are eco-friendly and sustainable. In fact, only one non-toxic organic compound is used in the production process, and the fabric is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, indicating the absence of harmful dyes or chemicals during manufacturing. Additionally, the sheets are naturally hypoallergenic and are not bleached or dyed.
Boasting a luxurious sheen and a softer-than-silk, cooler-than-linen feel, the Sijo Airyweight bedding is easy to care for. It can be gently machine washed and tumble dried on low steam if preferred, and it actually becomes softer with each wash, unlike cotton which can pill over time.
Fitted with a 16-inch deep pocket and stitched using premium quality rip-resistant elastic, the Sijo Airyweight sheets are designed to provide a snug, secure fit for most mattresses on the market. The fitted sheet will stay in place around the base of the mattress, preventing it from slipping off the corners frequently.
